What surgical methods do you offer for a cruciate ligament rupture in dogs?

For small and medium-sized dogs, we offer capsular fascia retraction according to Meutstege or lateral suture retraction or a mixture of both. For heavy dogs, we are among the leaders in Germany in the Zlig (formerly: VetLig) method - an intracapsular ligament replacement.

What equipment does the small animal centre have?

The Arndt Small Animal Centre in Karlsruhe-Durlach has state-of-the-art equipment and offers, among other things:
- computer/volume tomograph especially for small animals and pets - this also enables an optimal examination of cats according to FORL
- in addition, we have fully digital X-rays, a (heart) ultrasound and a fully comprehensive laboratory
- the only blood bank for dogs and cats in Karlsruhe
- CO2 laser for gentle surgical procedures and diode laser for better wound care
- endoscopy tower

Which staff will take care of my animal?


In our group we have specialist veterinarians for small animals and pets, specialists in dentistry, internal medicine, oncology and imaging. Dr Krause is also the contact person for holistic veterinary medicine.
All our vets are characterised by a great love of animals.
We offer ATF-recognised courses for other veterinarians and have further training authorisation to become a specialist veterinarian for small animals and pets.
