The duration of inpatient treatment depends on your pet's state of health. We will communicate with you on a daily basis and for longer stays we will be happy to arrange visiting times with you.
If an animal is seriously ill and is being treated by a vet, hospitalisation / inpatient treatment may be necessary in certain cases.
This applies in particular after surgical procedures, when intensive observation and, if necessary, further care or special examinations of the animal are required.
Continuous drip infusion and intravenous injection therapy is then often carried out as part of the inpatient treatment.
Naturally, we want to make your pet's hospitalisation as short and pleasant as possible. The length of stay on our ward in Karlsuhe-Durlach depends on the type and course of treatment. Your attending vet will provide you with comprehensive information.
During your pet's hospitalisation with us, visits are made several times a day. The patients are examined and given medication.
If necessary, blood, X-ray and ultrasound examinations are also carried out.
The animals should feel as comfortable as possible at the centre. They are therefore housed in boxes appropriate to their size, with dogs and cats/small animals separated from each other, of course. The models for cats and small dogs are made of a special plastic that ensures a pleasant climate and is also easy to clean. These boxes can also be heated individually.
