We are now a dual partner of the DHBW.

doc4pets Karlsruhe/Karlsbad GmbH is delighted and proud to announce its official dual partnership with the DHBW (the renowned Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University). This significant partnership symbolizes our deep commitment to education and professional development in the field of veterinary medicine. As a dual partner of the DHBW, we not only have the opportunity to provide our employees with first-class academic training, but also to integrate the principles of dual education into our practice.

This allows us to offer prospective veterinary assistant students a unique combination of theory and practice. What makes this special is that our students not only receive a recognized Bachelor's degree, but also benefit from a salary during their studies. We are thrilled to be able to offer this exciting and future-oriented opportunity to other interested individuals and look forward to welcoming the promising talents who will begin their academic and professional careers at doc4pets Karlsruhe/Karlsbad GmbH.

We are pleased to announce that our former trainee veterinary assistant and later team leader, Alina Wolf, as the first student from our group, will take advantage of the excellent opportunity to participate in the partnership with the DHBW offers a degree in Business Administration - Health Management to begin in the winter semester of 2023/24. We are very proud to be able to offer such progressive educational pathways for our trainees with a high school diploma or university entrance qualification.

Until now, veterinary assistants with a high school diploma or university entrance qualification essentially had only two options: either they began studying veterinary medicine or they could pursue very limited further training in the field of veterinary medicine (e.g., in anesthesia). In the latter case, their career prospects were correspondingly limited. As a dual partner of the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW), we are now trying to change this with a new alternative, offering dedicated veterinary assistants the opportunity to obtain academic degrees outside of veterinary medicine.

Dual partner of the DHBW and the excellent education system

The Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW) has established an outstanding reputation in Germany's educational landscape over the past few decades. Through its collaborations with approximately 9,000 companies and social institutions, it offers a first-class platform for future specialists and managers.

Unique cooperation between companies and DHBW

The Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University is far more than just a university. It is a collaboration between academia and industry that optimally prepares young professionals for their entry into the workforce.

As dual partners of the DHBW (the name given to cooperating companies and social institutions), they benefit from direct collaboration with the university. This close connection ensures that students acquire a high level of both theoretical and practical knowledge.

The highest teaching standards meet practical training.

For over 40 years, the DHBW's dual study system has been a proven method for equipping students with excellent specialist knowledge and outstanding social skills. This combination makes DHBW graduates highly sought-after professionals in the job market.

Companies shape the future

The Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University enables its partner companies not only to select the best students, but also to actively participate in the university's further development. This ensures that companies receive tailored, high-quality training for their future employees.

Summary of why we are a dual partner of the DHBW

A dual study program at the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW) offers numerous advantages, both for students and for us – a dual partner of the DHBW.

For students, collaborating with us as a dual partner of the DHBW (Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University) means access to valuable practical experience alongside their academic studies. This combination of theory and practice optimally prepares them for the job market and increases their career prospects.

The DHBW's dual partner, in turn, benefits from direct access to talented young professionals whom they can select and train themselves. This ensures that the students acquire precisely the skills and knowledge required by the company or institution.

Furthermore, the DHBW's dual partners can actively shape the quality and relevance of the teaching by contributing their own specialists as lecturers. This not only promotes the quality of the training but also strengthens the connection between the DHBW and the dual partner.

The dual study concept allows students to benefit from their own salary while simultaneously having the security of employment with the DHBW's dual partner company. This reduces financial burdens and enables students to fully concentrate on their studies.

The DHBW's dual partners, in turn, benefit from an improved image, as they present themselves as supportive and future-oriented employers. They can be confident that, thanks to the close collaboration with the DHBW, they will receive highly qualified graduates.

Furthermore, the cooperation with a dual partner of the DHBW offers companies and institutions the opportunity to actively participate in the further development of degree programs and curricula. This allows them to ensure that their educational offerings always meet current market demands.

In conclusion, it can be said that both students and the DHBW's dual partners benefit in many ways from a dual study program at the DHBW. It is a win-win model in which all parties involved – students, the university, and the DHBW's dual partners – profit from the synergies and advantages of the collaboration.
