TPLO workshop: advanced training for veterinarians in veterinary orthopedics

The doc4pets Academy is known for its individual and small group-based training in the field of veterinary medicine. The TPLO technique (tibial plateau leveling osteotomy) has become an essential component in modern veterinary orthopedics. Our TPLO courses are aimed at all those veterinarians who want to further their education and refine their surgical skills.

Another TPLO workshop took place today in our premises at the Arndt Small Animal Center in Karlsruhe:

Today: TPLO Workshop 3

The Revolution: Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy (TPLO Workshop)

Since the introduction of the TPLO technique by Barclay Slocum, the approach to treating ACL injuries has changed radically. This method allows not only more effective treatment, but also faster recovery of the animal.

Why TPLO?

  • Renewed standards : TPLO has established a new level in cruciate ligament surgery.
  • Advanced Method : TPLO is an innovative surgical method that requires precision and extensive expertise.
  • Holistic Approach : In addition to the TPLO procedure itself, a successful procedure requires an understanding of the entire hind leg and its associated structures.

TPLO course content

Our courses offer both theoretical and practical knowledge:

  • Theory and background : Comprehensive lectures on the basics, planning and techniques.
  • Practical workshop : Here participants have the opportunity to directly apply what they have learned, be it in the dry or wet laboratory.

Advantages of TPLO training:

  1. Recognized procedure : TPLO is a renowned procedure in veterinary medicine for the treatment of CCL tears.
  2. Service Upgrade : With TPLO's offering, a veterinarian can significantly increase the service standard of their practice.
  3. Expand expertise : Participants can deepen their surgical skills and knowledge.
